GEOFF MELVILLE
Geoff Melville is a multimedia artist whoʼs practice blends painting, photography, printmaking and collage. His style is the product of a 20 year involvement in the world of graffiti art, coupled with a profound embrace of fine art traditions. Melville uses a formal understanding of screen printing to produce his unique multimedia works and challenges the repetitive nature of printing by making unique, individual works.
Melville received his BFA in photography from California College of the Arts (CCA), where he also studied print making under Thomas Wojak and was awarded the Hamaguchi Printmaking Award in 2007. Beginning in 2013, Melville began to work and produce his own art at Modern Multiples studio in Los Angeles. Under the mentorship of the late Richard Duardo, heʼs produced work for the likes of Shepard Fairey, Ron English, Dale Chihuly and countless other contemporary artists. Melvilleʼs work has shown throughout the US and abroad, he continues to live and work in Los Angeles, Ca.
